Olivia loves to play with sticks when I take her to the beach. Today wasn't any different, she stuck them in the sand and start singing Happy Birthday, Grandpa. I was happy to capture it.
She sings the English and Filipino version (Maligayang Bati).
Happy Birthday Grandpa Jon and Greatgrandpa Benny.
Olivia, you are 2 & 1/2 yrs. old as I write this to you. We are still in Hilton Head doing our day to day activities. Daddy is at work and you're taking a nap right at this moment. It's been a while since I wrote to you and blogging seems to help me remember what motherhood is all about. Jealous! I noticed that after our trip from P.I. you were more clingy to Dad. I can't help myself but feeling jealous. I know it's just a stage but I can't help myself to be heartbroken. You want daddy to rub your back before bedtime. All you want to wear all day is one of his shirts. You just want to be with him all the time. How about me? Do you remember the times we have shared? (being funny now) On the other hand, I'm glad because daddy feels important. This is the moment he's been waiting for :) I should be happy now too as I'll be able to have more "me" time. Again, I know this is just a stage.
I attached a video above this post. You are completing the puzzle from Gma & Gpa Howe. I'm impressed how you can put this together easily. You just love doing puzzles. Everything is a puzzle. From small activities to serious matters, all can be considered as puzzle. Life itself is a puzzle. I know you get frustrated sometimes when you can't figure out where one piece goes to but you have to be patient and be focus.
You have improved a lot with counting too. You can now count 1 to 10 in Filipino and 1 to 20 in English. You are not far behind with the Alphabets either. You recognize many letters. One morning you saw a peanut butter jar. As you point at the letters you read 'J', 'I', 'F'. Dad and I were impressed. I'm happy to know that you are learning a lot. Just one request though. Please don't test mommy that much. I beg you :) What's up with the Nos? There are just plenty of them lately. If Nos are money we'll be rich by now. :) Just test daddy he's got a lot of patience than me. I don't seem to know where he gets them. Hey, always remember to smile and to laugh. I hope you have a great day. I love you.
